this is a pretty important wall. violence against women seems to be growing all over the world. its tragic, and must stop.

Violence against women needs to end. Judith Herman said that it’s easier for us to go with the perpetrator because they appeal to the desire to see no evil and hear no evil. It’s hard to empathize with the victim and recognizing injustices demands action. We, as the second picture, need to stop this.

It’s easy to understand why whole villages in India are taking the law into their own hands to deal with perpetrators of violence against women.
And lets not forget emotional violence and abuse, which also can be devastating for the women ‘victims’. I prefer to use the word “survivor” so as not to use language to further intimidate women who have suffered violence. Survivor is empowering, so they don’t remain ‘victimised’.
So terrible how the whole world seems to be seeing more and more violence against women lately.
